The annual Holiday Market & Tree Lighting took place from 3 till 6PM on December 7th, 2025 in the library and community room. There were craft activities for children; cookies, coffee and hot chocolate provided by the Friends: and a photo booth and the Penguin Popper game courtesy of Easton Parks & Rec. Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted children and gave photo opportunities 5pm. There were a variety of local artisans in the community room showcasing their jewelry, ceramics, hand-blown glass, fiber, photographic, woodwork and other arts. Our raffle contained over 20 items donated by vendors, local merchants including Greisers and The Maple Row tree farm as well as the Friends of the library.
The Joel Barlow Chamber Singers started caroling at 4:30 leading us up to the lighting of the tree at 5:15 outside the library. The Friends have provided 1000 new lights this year!! If you were there you know it was a wonderful warm event. If you missed it look for next year's tree lighting and plan to attend.
The decorations would not have been possible without the help of the National Charity League volunteers and the Friends of the Library.
